Latest Work

After a years break, the City of Glass series has sprung back to life with three new paintings:  'City of Glass 57- ( as the crow flies...)', 'City of Glass 58 - (Noir)' and 'City of Glass 59 - (DQ WW MW)'.  After six years I know my subject and ideas are flowing. I am determined to somehow/somewhere show this powerful series together as a coherent whole.

Earlier on this year, I saw the dazzling stage production of 'City of Glass' at HOME in Manchester, and beforehand, briefly met the author of City of Glass, Paul Auster, at the book-signing of his new novel 4.3.2.1.

My painting 'The Sea' was selected for the inaugural Newlyn Society of Artists exhibition 'Borders' at their new home at the Tremenheere Gallery, Penzance. A beautiful space, and the Society will have a second exhibition there in September this year, 'The Critic's Choice', selected by Nicholas Underwood. Fingers crossed for that.

Looking forward to 'The Edge of Lanscape', a joint exhibition with Sara Bor, at Plough in Devon. Dates are 7 -29 July, with Preview on Fri 7 July at 7pm. Hope to see you there.
