Paintings 2016 -18

After a years break, 2017 saw the emergence of seven new 'City of Glass' paintings: '(as the crow flies...)', (Noir)', (DQ WW MW)', 'Island of Bricks', 'East SideStory' and 'WestSideStory' and 'The Book is the Tower is Central Park is the dark blue of night is the Book'. 'Island of Bricks' was selected by Nicholas Usherwood' for The Newlyn Society of Artists exhibition 'Critic's Choice' at the Tremenheere Gallery, Penzance and was also shortlisted for the RWA Open, together with 'WestSideStory'.

In paralell, there were several new Cornwall paintings including a personal favourite, 'Black Harbour'.

At the start of 2018, I started a new series '20 Paintings = 20 Books', each painting based on a different crime-novel from around the world whose identity will remain secret until the series is completed. It the viewer wishes to become a detective themselves there are clues in the paintings and in my writings on the Blog.
